Thank you for using Notebient ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use our mobile application.

1. Data Storage and Syncing

Notebient is designed with a privacy-first architecture:

• Local Storage: Your notes, tags, and images are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
• iCloud Sync: If you choose to enable "iCloud Sync" (a Premium feature), your data is securely synchronized across your devices using Apple's CloudKit.

We do not have access to your data. Your notes are stored in your private iCloud container, which is encrypted and accessible only by you. We do not operate our own servers to store or process your content.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect personal data, usage analytics, or tracking information.

• No Account Required: You do not need to create an account with us to use the app. Authentication is handled entirely by Apple via your device's iCloud account.
• No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (like Google Analytics or Mixpanel) to track your behavior or note content.

3. Permissions

The app may request access to specific device features to provide functionality:

• Photo Library: We request "Add Only" access to your Photo Library to allow you to save images from your notes or export content. We do not read your existing photos unless you explicitly select them to add to a note.

4. In-App Purchases

Transactions for the "Premium Upgrade" are processed securely by Apple via the App Store. We do not process or store your credit card information or billing details. We only receive a receipt from Apple to verify that the purchase was successful.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our application is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect data, we do not hold any personal information about users of any age.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
